Sonic Tweaks is operated by a sole trader based in Egypt. "I", "me" and "we" mean that operator; "you" means the customer. By buying a service or downloading an app you accept these terms.
Two different things, with different terms:
Price is agreed with you in a Discord ticket before any payment is taken. Work is then done remotely, in a live session, with you watching. You keep control of your machine throughout. Before anything is changed I take restore points and back up the files involved. Each package ends with before/after benchmarks so the result is measurable rather than asserted.
There is no fixed delivery window. Sessions are scheduled with you directly in Discord and depend on both of our availability.
No specific performance figure is guaranteed. FPS and latency results shown on the site are figures customers reported from their own machines and games. What you gain depends on your hardware, your games, and what your system is doing wrong beforehand. A machine that is already clean and GPU-limited has far less to gain than a cluttered one, and I will tell you so before taking payment if I think that is the case.
Specifically, I do not guarantee that:
Overclocking and firmware (BIOS/UEFI) changes carry inherent risk, including instability and, in rare cases, hardware damage. They may also void your hardware warranty. By buying a package that includes overclocking or BIOS work you accept that risk.
You are responsible for keeping your own backup of anything you cannot afford to lose. The backups I take are a working safety net for the session, not an archive.
You must own the machine being worked on, or have permission from its owner.
Every change is recorded before it is written, and can be reversed. Registry values are journalled to disk, so a revert still works after a reboot. If you want the machine put back, say so and I will walk it back.
Both apps require administrator rights, because thread priority, IFEO, IRQ policy, service
control, timer resolution and the power scheme cannot be changed without them. Neither app
writes outside its own folder in %AppData%\NotaSonic\ and the settings it tells
you it is changing.
A SuperSonic licence key is for your use, on your machine. Sharing, reselling or publishing keys ends the licence without refund. The free optimizer has no licence and may be used freely.
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim relating to the software or the services is limited to the amount you paid for the item the claim relates to.
I may decline or stop work, and refund you, if a request is abusive, if the machine is unsafe to work on, or if the work would require doing something I consider dishonest. I would rather lose a sale than do a job badly.
These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here on the day you bought. Material changes will be announced in the Discord server.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Nothing here removes any statutory consumer right you have in your own country that cannot be waived by contract.
Short version: if I have not done the work yet, you get your money back. If the work turned out to be impossible on your hardware, you get your money back. If the work is done and you simply did not gain as much as you hoped, a refund is at my discretion, and I will usually try to fix it first.
If a package contains several parts and one could not be performed (for example the overclock, on a locked board), you are refunded for that part and keep the rest.
Because these are services performed on your machine rather than goods, they cannot be "returned" once done. If you are unhappy with the result:
A refund will not normally be given solely because your FPS gain was smaller than you hoped, since no specific figure is promised and gains depend on your hardware. This is exactly why I look at your specs and tell you honestly what is worth doing before taking payment.
SuperSonic has a three-day free trial with no key and no payment details, so you can confirm it works on your machine before paying anything. Because of that, licence keys are generally non-refundable once issued. If a key does not work, or the app will not run on a supported system, I will fix it or refund it.
The Free Optimizer costs nothing and has nothing to refund.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period for distance contracts (for example the EU or UK 14-day right of withdrawal), that right applies. Note that where you ask for the service to begin immediately and acknowledge it, that right may be lost once the service is fully performed. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have by law.
Open a ticket in the Discord server or email sonictweaks@gmail.com with your order details. Refunds are returned by the method you paid with, and are normally actioned within 5 working days of being agreed.
I collect as little as possible, and I do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Nothing. This site is a set of static files. There is no account system, no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no analytics script. No cookies are set.
The site loads three things from other services, which will see your IP address as a normal consequence of your browser requesting a file:
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs.
Remote sessions are done with you present and watching. I do not browse personal files and I do not copy data off your machine. Access ends when the session ends. If you would rather run the steps yourself while I guide you, say so and we will do it that way.
Customer vouches and screenshots shown on the homepage are taken from the public vouches channel of the Discord server, including the display name and date. If you posted one and want it removed from the website, ask and it will be taken down at the next update.
Neither app sends your personal data to me. Settings stay on your own machine in
%AppData%\NotaSonic\.
Ticket history stays in Discord until the ticket is deleted. Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting. Your information is shared only with the payment provider and Discord, both of which have their own privacy policies. It is never sold.
Ask and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Some payment records may have to be retained for legal and accounting reasons.
